Children’s Days ← Back to the portfolio
Supporting diverse conservation sites involves adapting to different teams. Events prototype ideas and training.
The first Children’s Day at the G.E.R.P. managed forest of Maromizaha (7/14) focused on ecological relationships via community building games for youth, sponsored by ICTE Study Abroad. This differentiated instruction for all learners and opened exchange.
The 2nd event at Maromizaha with Study Abraod (9/14) allowed young children to explore the ecology. Forest adventure stories were created to record the children’s discoveries.
World Lemur Festival at MFG involved organizing and planning activities / logistics with volunteers, and prepping MFG staff to coordinate 8 activities happening at all times, so kids could celebrate lemurs and their own stories through the arts.
We were warmly received and invited to contribute again, every time!
